Bloomington Man Dies After Crashing Motorcycle

(BLOOMFIELD) - One man is dead after his motorcycle left the roadway and crashed.

Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Dustin Cain said 43-year-old Brian J. Neal, of Bloomington, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident was reported at 12:37 a.m. Sunday on Chapel Road, which is east of Edwards Road.

Deputy Dustin Cain says Neal was riding his 1986 Harley-Davidson motorcycle west on Chapel Road, when, for some unknown reason, his motorcycle left the roadway.

The bike traveled off the south side of the roadway, down an embankment and crashed.

Cain says the cause of accident is still under investigation.

Assisting at the scene were Eastern Fire Department, Greene County Ambulance Service, Van Buren Township Fire Department and the Indiana State Police.
