(BEDFORD) - A 16-year-old Bedford teen was arrested early Wednesday morning after he allegedly stole an MP3 player and a wallet from an employee at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital.
"The incident that lead to his arrest began on September 30th," says Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley. "The items were taken out of an employee's locker."
Parsley says police reviewed surveillance video from the day of the thefts and were able to identify the male juvenile.
Officers arrested the teen after he was found walking on Mitchell Road and 30th Street Monday morning.
"After officers spoke with the teen he did admit to his involvement," Parsley says. "This case is still under investigation and we are looking into other thefts the teen may be involved in."
The 16-year-old was taken to the Jackson County Juvenile Detention Center in Brownstown.
