(NORTH CAROLINA) - 50-year-old Ron Tow, of Williams, who fled police after officers found an active meth lab at his home has been arrested in North Carolina.
Oolitic Town Marshal Officer Bill Allen says Indiana State Police officers Josh Allen and Greg Day, working with officers in the North Carolina, were able to capture Ron Tow.
At this point Allen is uncertain where Tow was captured and that Tow was arrested without incident.
Allen says he is uncertain when Tow will be returned to Indiana.
Police were looking for Tow after police claim Tow was making meth on his property in Williams.
Oolitic Deputy Marshal Bill Allen and officers from the Indiana State Police were in the process of arresting Tow the afternoon of August 21 when Tow ran into the woods at his property on Indian Trails Road.
Police found an active meth lab and Tow had a substantial amount of marijuana growing on his property.
Officers from Lawrence and Martin County with their dogs searched the woods but were unable to find Tow. Allen says Tow was previously in the Army with training in special forces, but is not believed to be dangerous.
