Teen Hits Pedestrians With Car And Flees

(BEDFORD) - A 17-year-old Bedford boy was arrested after he allegedly hit three pedestrians at the corner of T Street and Norton Lane Saturday night and then fled the scene.

According to Bedford Police Sgt. Mike Johnson, the teen and group of individuals were arguing and throwing things at each other before the accident.

Johnson says the individuals have had problems with each other in the past.

38-year-old Thomas Goen, suffered an injury to his lower leg and foot, he was taken to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment.

17-year-old Shonda Goen and 16-year-old Cletus Goen, both complained of pain and had a bruises on their right legs. They refused medical treatment.

Police located Clements Sunday just before 8 p.m. and he was charged with criminal recklessness with a vehicle resulting in injury, leaving the scene of an injury accident, violation of a learner's permit, and operating a vehicle without financial responsibility.

He was released to his grandmother.
