(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Police are investigating the burglaries at two homes in Mitchell.
Both break-ins were reported late Monday afternoon. The first burglary occurred in the 70 block of Spice Valley Road.
The second was in the 1900 block of Hollis Chastain Road.
Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig says the person or persons forced their ways into the home and took jewelry and other items.
He says the two cases could be related.
