(BEDFORD) - A 17-year-old Mitchell teen was arrested early Tuesday morning after the vehicle he was a passenger in was blocking the alley between First and Second streets.
When police arrived they asked the female driver to move her vehicle. That is when they discovered her passenger, had tobacco products and marijuana.
He was arrested and charged with a minor in possession of a tobacco product, possession of marijuana and illegal consumption.
The teen was taken to the Mitchell Police Department and probation was contacted.
The teen was released to his father. But when his father arrived the teen refused to go with him.
Police say the teen was eventually persuaded it was in his best interest to leave with his dad.
