Last updated on Thursday, September 6, 2012

(SEYMOUR) - Seymour police are investigating a robbery reported Labor Day evening outside a local pharmacy.

Police are looking for a white man with red hair and a medium build who is 20 to 25 years old, according to Detective Greg O'Brien with Seymour Police Department.

The man is a suspect in the robbery of a husband and wife in a parking lot outside CVS Pharmacy, 201 E. Tipton Street.

The couple had just left the drugstore shortly before 9 p.m. Monday when they were confronted by a man. O'Brien says the man showed a weapon and told the couple to give him a purse, their wallets and money.

O'Brien says the couple complied, giving the man an undetermined amount of money as well as a prescription they had just purchased at the pharmacy.

After robbing the couple, the man fled northwest from the pharmacy.
