Livestock Producers Can Seek Help From Drought

(PAOLI) - Janelle Springer, CED of the Orange County Farm Service Agency announces livestock producers who have lost their normal water supply due to extreme drought may be eligible to obtain cost share assistance under the Emergency Conservation Program.

Livestock producers who have had to haul water, or their water has become stagnant, or a pond has dried up could be able to take advantage of this cost share program.

ECP7 practices will help in purchasing water troughs, contractor cost for hauling water to livestock, portable or permanent holding and storage tanks.

Producers can sign up for ECP7 until Thursday, September 20th. Sign up for the program is at the Farm Service Agency office at 573 South East Main Street in Paoli or calll 723-3311, ext. 2, for more information.
