(GREENWOOD) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an incident that occurred Tuesday evening near 8 pm. in rural Johnson County.

Hunter Jedele, 17, of Greenwood, was riding a dirt bike on private property when the incident occurred.

Jedele attempted to maneuver over a dirt mound and apparently lost control of the bike.

Jedele was found unresponsive, by a relative, a short time later and was transported by ambulance to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Jedele is listed in critical condition with severe head trauma.

Indiana Conservation Officer Markie Hoskins is continuing the investigation.

Officer Hoskins stated that it appeared that Jedele was wearing some protective gear when the incident took place.
