Bedford Man Arrested After Visiting Wrong House

Last updated on Tuesday, September 11, 2012

(BEDFORD) - A Mitchell man was arrested early Saturday morning after he continued to go to the wrong houses and cause problems.

37-year-old Charles Riggs, of Mitchell, was charged with public intoxication.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, Riggs and another man ended up on a porch of a home on U Street. When police were called the men were told they were at the wrong house and sent on their way. But police received another call a short time later when Riggs went onto another porch in the 600 block of Q Street.

"He was being loud and unruly," Parsley says. "The other man was not there and Mr. Riggs was arrested after he refused to cooperate with police."
