(LOOGOOTEE) - Two teens were injured after the vehicle they were in rolled several times Tuesday afternoon.

According to a Martin County Police report, officers went to the accident scene on Love Cemetery Road at 3:40 p.m.

Police say 16-year-old Webb Crane, of Loogootee was traveling north on Love Cemetery Road, south of Day Road at a high-rate of speed. Crane met a southbound vehicle and swerved to miss the vehicle and lost control of the 1997 Ford Explorer he was driving.

The Explorer left the roadway and went into a small ditch, causing it to go air-borne and roll approximately 4 times before landing upright facing southeast.

Police say neither Crane or his passenger, 18-year-old Joey Chrisman were seriously injured in the crash.

Chrisman refused medical treatment at the scene and Crane was treated and released at the scene.

Police say the Ford Explorer was totaled in the crash.

Crane was cited for speed too fast to avoid an accident and for a license violation.

The investigating officer was Sergeant Keith Keller with the Martin County Sheriff's Department and he was assisted by Chief Deputy Tony Dant and the Loogootee Fire Department and Martin County EMS and G&M Wrecker Service.
