Traffic Stops Scheduled for U.S. 150 In Orange County

Last updated on Monday, August 6, 2012

(PAOLI) - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces that traffic on U.S. 150 in Orange County will be stopped temporarily.

On Tuesday, August 7 and Wednesday, August 8, traffic will be stopped intermittently on U.S. 150 approximately 3.0 miles east of S.R. 56. Multiple stoppages will take place, none lasting more than 15 minutes between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., each day.

Stopping traffic is required to allow bridge beams to be delivered and set for the new Lick Creek Bridge near Cave Quarries.

All lanes will be stopped in each direction as beams are off-loaded from the trucks and sat in place. Local authorities will be on site to aid in traffic control and inclement weather could postpone the stoppages.

INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a work zone. For the latest news and information about INDOT, please visit www.in.gov/indot or www.trafficwise.in.gov
