School Board Ballots Set

(BEDFORD) - The ballot is set for the elections of school board positions in Lawrence County.

The deadline to file was noon Friday.

This week 10 people registered to run for the North Lawrence Community Schools board of trustees and 13 people filed to serve on the Mitchell school board.

Two for each school system have chose not to file for re-election.

The following is the list of those who have filed for school board at the Lawrence County Courthouse. (An * before the name indicates an incumbent.)

According to the Lawrence County Clerk's office, the seats up for grabs on the North Lawrence Community Schools board of trustees are those representing District 4, or the city of Bedford. Currently those seats are occupied by Gillespie, O'Rourke and Jeff Lambrecht.

Those up for grabs on the Mitchell Community Schools' board are the three district seats, which are currently held by Debra Beeler, District 1 representing Spice Valley South; Super, District 2 representing Marion Township; and Kirk, District 3 representing Bono Township.
