(WILLIAMS) - Police are looking for 50-year-old Ron Tow, of Williams, after they claim he was making meth on his property in Williams.
Oolitic Deputy Marshal Bill Allen and officers from the Indiana State Police were in the process of arresting Tow Tuesday afternoon when he ran into the woods at his property on Indian Trails Road.
Police found an active meth lab and Tow had a substantial amount of marijuana growing on his property.
Officers from Lawrence and Martin County with their dogs searched the woods but were unable to find Tow. Allen says Tow was previously in the Army with training in special forces, but is not believed to be dangerous.
Allen is 5 feet, 11 inches, about 175 or 180 pounds with a muscular build. The man has a high and tight military haircut. At the time he fled police, he was wearing a sleeveless white T-shirt with blueish camouflage shorts and brown boots. Police Tow also has family in Shoals.
While police have no definitive leads on where Tow is, Allen says there was a vehicle stolen about two miles from where Tow eluded police.
The vehicle is a red Ford F-450 truck with a black dump-bed on the back.
