(BEDFORD) - 53-year-old Mindy Knight, of Mitchell was injured after a collision at 16th Street and Plaza Drive, Friday afternoon.
Knight suffered neck pain.
The other driver fled the scene.
According to police Knight was traveling west on 16th Street and had just passed the intersection of Plaza Drive and was merging into the trun land when another vehicle, possibly a green Jeep Cherokee hit her 1997 Chevrolet Venture in the rear.
Police say both vehicles continued across Ind. 37, where Knight pulled the Chevrolet into the parking lot of a business.
According to the report, the other vehicle "then fled the scene at a high rate of speed, last seen heading west" on Ind. 158.
Anyone with information about the second vehicle is asked to call police.
