(FAYETTEVILLE) - Lawrence County Police are investigating the report of a battery that happened near the Fayetteville Store Saturday afternoon.
"Two males were outside of the store when they allege they were attacked," says Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig. "The men were injured and an ambulance and Indian Creek first responders were called to the scene."
Craig says the men's injuries were minor and the case is under investigation.
The men told police the suspect or suspects fled the scene in a black Chevrolet Silverado truck.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lawrence County detectives.
