Isaac Should Bring Needed Rain

Last updated on Wednesday, August 29, 2012

(UNDATED) - Joe Skowronek with the National Weather Service says we will get some of the remains of Isaac, which could be good news for Illinois and Indiana, two states that have been hit hard by drought.

Though the track of the storm is still uncertain, the odds are good that we will at least see some amount of rain.

Skowronek says we are still about six inches below average rainfall levels, so any amount of rain we get will be needed.

Even better for Central Indiana, is the rainfall we had earlier this week, which helped to soften the ground, making the soil more absorbent, and flooding less likely.
