(UNDATED) - Three fire departments and the Department of Natural Resources put out field fires near the Morgan-Monroe State Forest Tuesday afternoon.
Fire crews were called to the area along Old State Road 37 around 1:17 p.m.
There were three small areas burning, and two of the field fires burned together, fire officials said.
Crews were able to get the fire out. About 2 1/2 acres total burned.
