(MITCHELL) - Dunbar’s American Grill will close at the end of the business day Sunday.
Dana Dunbar, one of the owners of the Mitchell restaurant, said the eatery will close indefinitely.
Jackie Deckard, the chef hired to run the eatery, is unable to continue managing it because of her husband's recent cancer diagnosis.
"It's nobody's fault, obviously," Dunbar said. "Jackie is where she needs to be - with her spouse. But we don't have anyone of her caliber who is able to step in and take over the management of the restaurant. Our customers have always been our first priority, and we have many of out-of-town customers. We wanted to extend the courtesy of letting them know before they made the trip to Mitchell after this weekend."
