(UNDATED) - A venison workshop series to be conducted by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources in September will teach deer skinning, butchering and preparation.
Participants can taste the venison prepared in a variety of ways. The workshops will also feature food safety and handling procedures and an update on deer health issues.
The DNR Division of Fish & Wildlife and Purdue Cooperative Extension Service are sponsoring the workshops.
The workshop will be hosted at Bass Pro Shops in Clarksville from 6-9 p.m. on Sept. 7, and is free to all.
Call (812) 218-5500 to register, or log onto www.in.gov/dnr to see a complete listing of locations and times for all of the workshops in the series.
