Police Believe They Know Who Robbed Crane Federal Credit Union In Washington

(WASHINGTON) - The Crane Federal Credit Union, at 2102 State Street in Washington, was robbed at approximately 9 a.m. Monday morning and officers believe they know who did it.

No one was injured in the robbery and police are still interviewing witnesses as of 10 a.m.

The robber entered the bank as it was opening.The suspect is described as a white male, who was wearing sunglasses, a dark hoodie and jeans.

He fled the scene on foot with an undetermined amount of money. They believe he got into a 1995 or 1996 white Ford Explorer.

No other details are available and the incident remains under investigation.

Schools in Pike County were put on lockdown following the robbery. The lockdown was initially issued for Otwell and Petersburg Elementary Schools at 9:15 Monday morning. Shortly after, the entire district was placed on lockdown. Classes continued on a normal class schedule.
