(BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY) - A chemical odor at a northern Bartholomew County campground led to the arrest of two area residents for drug violations.

The Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office told our news gathering partners at "The Republic" that deputies arrested 43-year-old James C. Warner, of Taylorsville, and 40-year-old Lori A. McIntosh, of Edinburgh, around 2:30 a.m. Thursday at Heflin Park near Taylorsville.

They both face felony charges of manufacturing methamphetamine in a public park, possession of meth in a public park and possession of precursors in a public park.

McIntosh's 8-year-old daughter was also present when the arrests happened. She is now in the care of a family member, while McIntosh also faces a felony charge of neglect of a dependent.
