(UNDATED) - Officials with the Hoosier National Forest have lifted the burn ban for the forest that had been put in place back in June.

However, the ban may be reinstated before hunting season if the southern part of the state doesn't receive receive more rainfall.
The Hoosier National Forest covers parts of Brown, Jackson, Monroe, Lawrence, Orange, Martin, Crawford and Perry Counties.
