Last updated on Monday, August 27, 2012

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman reported two men broke into her home and threatened her with a knife.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, the woman called police at 5:26 a.m. Sunday.

"The two men forced open her door and threatened her with a knife," Craig says. "They then removed several items and fled the area. The woman was not injured."

Craig says detectives are investigating tips but no arrests have been made.

The woman says one of the men was tall and thin and was wearing a Colt's hoodie and was armed with the knife. The second man was heavier and had on a light colored hoodie and dark blue shorts.

Anyone who has information on the incident is asked to contact detectives at the Lawrence County Police Department.
