(BEDFORD) - The following are events scheduled for the area featuring GED testing to a middle school dance at the Girls Club.

Annual BMS Bike Rally

Motorists traveling 16th Street Friday will need to be alert to bicyclists making their way from Lowe's to Bedford Middle School. The annual BMS bike rally will depart from Lowe's about 7:15 a.m. Students participating in the ride should be at Lowe's by 7 a.m.

Middle school dance planned

The Limestone Girls Club will host a middle school dance from 6-9 p.m. Sept. 7 in Kari's Gym. Admission is $5, and there will be light refreshments for purchase. No pre-registration is required. For more information call 279-6123.

GED testing dates available

The General Equivalency Diploma test will be given at 5 p.m. at the North Lawrence Career Center on the following dates. Registration must be completed by the Friday before each date: Sept. 17-18, Oct. 15-16, Nov. 19-20 and Dec. 17-18. The cost is $70. For more information, call Norm Taylor at 279-3561.

Ivy Tech offering Microsoft lessons

Ivy Tech Corporate College is introducing a series of Microsoft micro-topics for professionals.

Short tutorials on specific Microsoft programs will be offered on Mondays, from 2 to 4 p.m.
