Woman Hurt After Dog Runs In Front Of Motorcycle

(BEDFORD) - Woman hurt after she hit a dog with her motorcycle Saturday night.

According to a Lawrence County Police report 18-year-old Regan Howell, of Bud Stipp Road was traveling south on Bud Stipp Road, near Pinhook Road, on a 2005 Honda motorcycle when a dog started following her.

She told police the dog was running in front of the bike and weaving back and forth, when she hit the dog.

The motorcycle went off the left side of the road and Howell says she sprained her ankle and burned her right calf on the bike.

She went to the hospital by private vehicle and was treated and released and then went to the police department to report the accident.
