(SPRINGVILLE) - 32-year-old Zachary Bird Jr. and his passenger 32-year-old Jodi Bird, both of Indianapolis, were injured Saturday when their motorcycle hit the rear of another vehicle on Sieboldt Quarry Road, Saturday morning.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, Zachary Bird complained of back pain and Jodi Bird suffered minor bleeding to her head.

According to police Zachary was driving a 2003 AMF motorcycle and was traveling west on Sieboldt Quarry Road, west of Gas Line Road behind a 2010 Hyundai driven by 78-year-old Pete Stephenson Jr.

Stephenson had stopped to turn left into his driveway when his Hyundai was hit in the rear by the motorcycle. Stephenson told police he did not have his turn signal on. Bird told police he tried to stop when he realized Stephenson was turning, but was unable to.
