(BEDFORD) - A motorcyclist and his passenger suffered minor injuries Wednesday in an accident at 29th Street and Forestview Drive.

According to a Bedford Police Department report 50-year-old Roger Slocum, of Mount Vernon, was westbound on 29th Street approaching U.S.50/Ind. 37 when it began raining and the road became slick. Slocum's 2007 Yamaha was traveling downhill when Slocum attempted to apply the brakes, which caused the motorcycle to slide on the wet roads and crashed

Slocum suffered minor bleeding to his elbow and lower arm. His passenger, 46-year-old Bobbi J. Slocum, also of Mount Vernon, suffered bruises to her head.

Neither of the two were wearing helmets.
