Martin County Residents Asked To Conserve Water

Last updated on Thursday, July 5, 2012

(SHOALS) - Customers of East Fork Water in Martin County are asked to conserve water immediately due to the heat and continuing drought.

In a statement, residents are asked not to water their lawns, wash their cars, use a pressure washer, filling swimming pools or other outdoor activities.

Inside the house, customers are asked to keep showers limited to five minutes, turn water off while shaving and brushing teeth, wash only full loads of laundry or dishes and report any leaks.

Any questions can be directed to the East Fork Water office at (812) 247-2083.
