Last updated on Tuesday, July 3, 2012

(BEDFORD) - On the 4th of July, local 4H Jr Leaders will be launching the first annual Lemonade Day, sponsored by the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce, the Bedford Public Library, Ivy Tech, and the Lawrence County Purdue Extension office.

This initial local effort is part of an ongoing national program.

Look for the Lemonade Day stand on the Fourth of July, starting at 10:30 am before the parade, in front of the Purdue Extension Office on 16th St.

The stand will remain open until 1:30 pm, after the parade. Lemonade Day is a hands-on learning experience that teaches youth how to start and operate their own small business.

Young entrepreneurs are encouraged to spend a little, save a little, and share a little of their profits
