(MITCHELL) - If you want to sign up for the Burris-Hatfield Room Parents Organization’s first-ever 5K run/walk on July 28, your time is limited to pre-register.
Pre-registration, which guarantees you a T-shirt, concludes on Monday.
The cost to enter the 5K is $20 per person. The event will follow the Persimmon 5K course, starting and ending in front of Mitchell High School. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. the day of the race. The race starts at 8 a.m.
The RPO is the parent group charged with paying for annual field trips for elementary students in Mitchell as well as creating and selling yearbooks, planning and implementing the Santa Shop, helping teachers with education supplies and providing them with tokens of appreciation and a variety of other activities that support the students and teachers in the two elementary schools.
