(ORLEANS) - The Orleans Chamber of Commerce and Touchstone Energy/Orange County REMC Summer Concert in the Park series continues this coming Saturday, July 21 in historic Congress Square (town park square) with a special performance by "Ladies for Liberty."

The free concert will begin at 7 p.m. (local time) on the southwest corner of the town park. In the event bad weather the concert will be moved to Orleans Christian Church's Unity Hall, located just one block south of the town square.

Ladies for Liberty is a singing troupe dedicated to performing Andrew Sisters-style of music through their own rendition of vocals, costumes, hairstyles and spirit of patriotism reminiscent of the 1940s.

The music of the World War II era reflects the spirit of time, and the Andrew Sisters in particular brought a spark of relief and joy during war time, which helped lighten the load for the American soldier, as well as the folks back home.

The public is welcome to attend and encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.

Upcoming offerings include:

(Concerts may be relocated to OCC, Unity Hall due to dangerous weather).

July 28-Crawford Co. Community Band

Aug. 11-Kate Henderson & "Fearless Delivery". (Gospel Night)
