(BEDFORD) - Girl Scouts from Troop 60442 brightened the day Wednesday for 90 residents of Westview Nursing and Rehab Center when they delivered arrangements of flowers they helped make.
The Scouts, who attend Shawswick Middle School and Bedford North Lawrence High School, met at West End Flowers in Bedford on Tuesday to make the arrangements.
July 22-28 is Make Someone Smile Week, a goodwill promotion by Teleflora.
Three Hearts Floral and Gifts in Mitchell and Wininger's Floral in French Lick, both owned by Phyllis and Roger Wininger, also are participating in the promotion.
Three Hearts will deliver 96 bouquets to residents at Mitchell Manor on Friday. Roger Wininger will deliver 200 of the yellow and white daisies in a yellow smiley-face mug to residents at Paoli Health and Living and Medco in French Lick today.
Teleflora donates the mugs and wholesalers donate some of the flowers, with the floral shops providing the rest.
