(OOLITIC) - A Bedford woman was arrested early Sunday after she hit her nephew.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig officers were called to a home in the 2000 block of 3rd Street in Oolitic.
Craig says Bedford officers arrested Sylvia Crane, 47, of Bedford, after they stopped her vehicle in front of the Rosemount Hotel where she was staying.
Craig says Sylvia and her nephew Reed Crane got into an argument earlier and she believed Reed had called police about her.
Craig says Reed was not seriously injured.
Sylvia did have two children with her in the vehicle when it was stopped by police and they were released to their grandparents.
When Sylvia was being booked in the jail she became combative and uncooperative, but no other charges were filed at the time.
Crane was charged with battery causing injury.
