Last updated on Monday, July 30, 2012

(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Fire Department extinguished a fire in an RV parked near Indiana Steel early Sunday morning.

Firefighters responded to the scene at 2:22 a.m.

"There was no one in the RV," says BFD Fire Chief Jon Wagner. "There was smoke coming out of the rear of the vehicle when firefighters arrived."

The fire was extinguished quickly and BFD Inspector David Wright was called to the scene to investigate.

"At this time we are not releasing the name of the owner and the cause of the fire is under investigation at this time," Waggoner says.
