Bedford Parks Department Offers Summer Fun

(BEDFORD) - Families are invited to these upcoming events through the Bedford Parks Department:

Kool Kids Krafts

Children and their parents can enjoy a morning of craft making Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Park Department staff will assist individuals during Kool Kids Krafts at the Thornton Park Pavilion.

Projects this summer include making bird feeders from toilet paper and paper towel rolls with peanut butter and bird seed, egg carton garden and flower starters and bubble factories.

The event is free and open to the public. The next Kool Kids Craft day will be Aug. 8.

Rock-a-Hula Luau

Families are invited to the Park Department's third annual Rock-a-Hula Luau from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at the John Lowery Municipal Pool.

The event features two hours of swimming, music and food.

Come dressed in luau attire.

This event is free and open to the public, however tickets must be picked up at the parks office by 4 p.m. July 27. A limited number of tickets are available. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
