$500 Worth Of Cigarettes Taken From Gas Station

(COLUMBUS) - Thieves got away with over 80 packs of cigarettes in a Thursday evening burglary at a Marathon gas station on Columbus’ East side.

Columbus Police Lt. Matt Myers said the suspects broke open the door to the building in the 900 block of 25th street around 10:30 p.m.

Myers is asking area residents to call police if they notice anyone selling discount cigarettes.

Detective Jim Worton is investigating the case and anonymous tips can be left by calling 812-376-2600.
