(WASHINGTON) - The Washington police have completed their investigation into a car-pedestrian accident at North East Third and Main Street, Saturday evening.
According to a police report, at 7:14 p.m Saturday, officers say a 14-year-old boy came to the police station and was yelling for help. The boy told police he had been hit by a van. The boy had an open wound and tire marks on his lower leg.
The boy said the driver ran over his skateboard and leg after stopping at the intersection.
Then at 8 o'clock that evening, police received a call from 58-year-old Mark Worland, of Washington. Worland told police that he had been in an accident.
Worland said the boy had walked into the rear of his vehicle and then got up and walked around. After that, Worland says he could not find the boy. That is when Worland drove away.
Police cited Worland for leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
