(VALLONIA) - A Vallonia couple was allegedly cooking meth inside a camper - with two children present - when police officers arrived to investigate suspected drug activity.

35-year-old Tony Perry and his wife 20-year-old Rebecca Perry were arrested on felony drug charges. Police went to the camper after a call for a welfare check on two toddlers ages 1 and 2, who were reported as being extremely filthy with ticks crawling on them.

When police arrived they found the 2-year-old dirty with bug bites all over his face. The other toddler was not in the camper, but a 12-year-old was.

Child protective services were call and all three miors were removed from the home placed with a relative.

Police say the odor of chemicals was overwhelming in the camper and made the officers eyes burn.

A search of the trailer revealed drug paraphernalia, meth and items used to make the drug, all within reach of the children. The police also found marijuana, a rifle and handgun in plain sight, with ammunition next to the guns.

They also located a moped that had been stolen from Bedford.

Tony Perry and Rebecca Perry are charged with: manufacturing meth; possession of meth, theft and maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

They are being held in the Washington County Detention Center on $50,000 full cash only bonds.
