Three Injured In Wreck In Washington, Driver Arrested

(WASHINGTON) - 35-year-old Belinda Smith of Loogootee was driving a 2004 Ram 1500 pick-up, south on State Road 5, about six miles north of Washington Saturday night when she went off the right side of the road, hit a large ditch, and then an embankment.

Her front seat passenger, 39-year-old Tangelia K. Hunt of Shoals was partially ejected through the truck's windshield.

Also injured were 4 -year-old Anna Oliver and an infant, Amanda Moffatt both of Petersburg.

All were transported to Daviess Community Hospital. Smith, who tested positive for drugs was arrested on three counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury.
