State Road 58 Will Be Closing To Replace Drainage Structure

(BEDFORD) - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that State Road 58 will be closing in Lawrence County.

Contractor's crews will be closing State Road 58 from the junction of State Road 37 to the junction of State Road 446. Crews will be replacing a drainage structure under State Road 58, 0.24 miles west of State Road 446 near Heltonville.

The road will close on Monday, June 25, at approximately 8 a.m. It is anticipated the roadway will re-open to traffic by the end of the day on Thursday, August 9, weather permitting.

No through vehicle traffic will be allowed, however local residents will have access to the point of closure. All lanes of traffic will be closed at the work zone. The official detour will follow State Road 37, U.S. 50 and State Road 446.

The contract was award to C.L.R., Inc. of Vincennes, Indiana in November 2011 in the amount of $454,228.96.
