(BEDFORD) - Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley says he has not been authorized to release the identity of the man involved in a fatal stabbing at Rusty’s West End Steak & Lounge.
Parsley says police have completed their investigation and the case is now in the hands of the Lawrence County Prosecutor's Office.
Few details were released on the fatal stabbing.
According to Parsley, 26-year-old Michael A. Holt,of Bedford, died as a result of stab wounds suffered during an altercation in the parking lot west of the bar, about 5 a.m. May 18.
Parsley said the case was submitted to the prosecutor under the heading of a "death investigation resulting from a stabbing."
Prosecutor Michelle Woodward was not available for comment.
