Martinsville Man Killed After Thrown From Vehicle

(MARTINSVILLE) - 22-year-old Kyle Marcum of Martinsville died Monday evening when he was thrown from the vehicle he was riding in during a crash.

Morgan County Police say the driver, 18-year-old Heaven McComb of Emence, told police she was traveling west on Cash Road and was going too fast when she lost control of her vehicle and hit a tree.

Marcum was thrown from the car. He suffered head and internal injured and died at the scene.

Another passenger a 15-year-old girl has to be freed from the vehicle. Both the teen and McComb were taken by medical helicopter to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

The sheriff's department said the investigation was ongoing, and blood test results were pending.
