(BROWN COUNTY) - An Edinburgh man accused of firing a gun in a northern Bartholomew County drugstore was arrested at a Brown County home Monday afternoon.

Hawkins allegedly entered the CVS Pharmacy, just south of the Johnson County line, at U.S. 31 and State Road 79 North shortly before 2:30 p.m. Monday. He went to the back of the store and fired a single shot from a pistol, hitting a computer, police said.

The pharmacist and assistants were not injured, said Edinburgh Police Deputy Chief David Lutz.

After the shot was fired, the man got into his car and left, police said. Trafalgar police arrested Hawkins at 2:33 p.m. in a home in the 8900 block of Sweetwater Trail, according to the Brown County Sheriff's dispatch log.

Hawkins is being held at the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $190,000 bond.
