Fireworks Still On At Patoka And Williams, Others Canceled

(UNDATED) - The fireworks at Patoka Lake and Williams Dame are still on for Saturday night.

Thunder over Williams Dam Fireworks show will be Saturday at 10 p.m.

The Williams Volunteer Fire Department will have a food booth with all proceeds to go to the fire department building fund. The fireworks show is sponsored by White River Bait & Tackle, owned by Chris and Sherry Amstutz.

The Patoka Beach area will be opened at 5:30 pm for parking and setting up of lawn chairs for fireworks viewing - which begins at dark.

However, no one will be permitted in the water from the beach area. Swimming is still prohibited while the area is declared unsafe due to low water levels.

The boat ramps are open and that boating is going on as normal.

Fireworks Canceled

Because of concerns for dry conditions and the fire ban, the following local events and fireworks displays have been postponed or canceled:
