(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Drug Task Force arrested 36-year-old Amberly Spencer, of Medora and 40-year-old Amy Carpenter, of Salem.

Spencer was charged with dealing in a schedule II controlled substance and three counts of possession of a schedule controlled substance.

Carpenter was charged with theft and possession of a controlled substance.

According to Bedford Police Department Chief Dennis Parsley the arrests were the result of the women stealing narcotics at Westview Nursing and REhabilitation Center in Bedford.

Both were booked into the Lawrence County Jail.

In May 21-year-old Chelsie Hearth, of Bedford, was arrested after she allegedly stole three syringes loaded with Morpine, Hydrocodone and Oxycodone from the facility and then sold them in the facility's parking lot to a police informant.

She was charged with dealing in a schedule II controlled substance and theft.
