Car Collides With Semi Causing Fuel Leak

(MONTGOMERY) - At 1:30 a.m.Tuesday morning, Daviess County 9-1-1 received a call reporting a car had collided with a semi tanker near the intersection of U.S. 50 and County Road 1100 East.

The caller reported there were no injuries.

The trucks driver notified authorities that he believed the truck was leaking fuel.

Units from the Daviess County Sheriff's Department responded and the Montgomery Fire Department was alerted.

The Martin County Sheriff's Department was asked to help control traffic on St. Mary's Road.

The Montgomery Fire Department advised Daviess County Dispatch to call the EPA in regard to the leaking fuel.

Wreckers from Craney's and Ruxer's removed the vehicles from the scene.

The wreckage was cleared and all units were back in service at 3:07 a.m. Tuesday.

More details are pending the completion of a state report.
