(BARTLETTSVILLE) - 46-year-old Jeff Scherschel, of Bedford, was killed after he crashed his 2005 AMF motorcycle on Little Salt Creek Road, near Souder Lane Wednesday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, Scherschel was traveling south on Little Creek Road when for some unknown reason he went off the left side of the road and into a ditch.
The motorcycle traveled about 315 feet and flipped. Scherschel was thrown from the motorcycle and landed about 11 feet face down in the ditch. He suffered head and internal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
