4-H Junior Leaders Offer Lemonade On July 4th

Last updated on Tuesday, June 26, 2012

(BEDFORD) - On the 4th of July, local 4-H Jr Leaders will be launching the first local annual Lemonade Day, with the support of collaboration between the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce, The Bedford Public Library, The Gayle and Bill Cook Center for Entrepreneurship: Ivy Tech, and the Lawrence County Purdue Extension office.

This initial local effort is part of an ongoing national program.

Look for the Lemonade Day stand on the Fourth of July, starting at 10:30 am before the parade, in front of the Purdue Extension Office at 924 16th St.

The stand will remain open until 1:30 pm, after the parade.

Lemonade Day is a hands-on learning experience that teaches youth how to start and operate their own small business, a lemonade stand.

Young entrepreneurs are encouraged to spend a little, save a little, and share a little of their profits.

The Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce is a proud co-sponsor of this event, and encourages everyone to stop by the Lemonade Day Stand to encourage the entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
