Three Dogs Saved By Police, Warrants To Be Issued For Arrests

Last updated on Thursday, May 10, 2012

(OOLITIC) - Oolitic Police Officer Bill Allen rescued three dogs after being requested to do a welfare check at 500 Vista Drive in Oolitic.

While at the home, Officer Allen discovered three dogs that had been abandoned.

After speaking with neighbors, Allen learned the owners had not lived at the home for three weeks.

Police found the dogs locked in separate rooms inside the house. The dogs had no food, and no food was found in the house for the dogs.

Officer Allen obtained a search warrant and removed the dogs. The dogs were taken to the White River Humane Society. Allen says all three dogs were in poor condition.

Police have two suspects and will be requesting arrest warrants for their arrest.

Indiana State Trooper Daniel Crozier and the Oolitic Street Department assisted with removal of the dogs.
